Duck Mousse w/ Truffles

For those of you who are a bit more daring, this is a great mid day snack. I surely thoroughly enjoyed it!

Duck mousse is made out of duck liver, similar to chicken pate, except for duck mouse sounds and tastes much fancier. Add truffles to them and they are a bite of heaven.

Slather onto a slice of toasted French bread.

I don’t stop at the mousse. I like adding something sweet to this and fig jam is perfect! I find that the sweetness balance out the rich buttery taste of the duck mousse.

And I don’t stop at the fig jam. I like my food to have a spicy kick so I sprinkled on some cayenne pepper. The combination of all three on top of toast is PERFECTION!

What’s your mid day snack?

Til next post, Kellie

  1. I was salivating with the toasted French bread and duck mousse. I hyperventilated when you added the fig jam. I fainted when you sprinkled the cayenne pepper 🙂
