I usually don’t cover fashion spreads. We all know that the pictures are most often unrealistically amazing and the fashion is only for those who consider money is no object.
But when I saw this spread from Harper’s Bazaar China, I was blown away and just HAD to share! The fact that these pictures are ALL in black & white AND still out of this world AH-MAZING make me go ga ga. Location of the photo shoot? Well, PARIS, of course!
“Une Journée à Paris – Celebrating its 26th anniversary, the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar China travels to Paris for a story featuring classic style. In front of Yin Chao’s lens, Miao Bin Si showcases retro style in luxe designs from the likes of Lanvin, Mugler, Dior Haute Couture and Elie Saab styled by Fan Xiaomu and Gugu as she explores Paris with special guest Didier Grumbach. Super glam hair and makeup by Bon and Wang Qian perfect the sophisticated ensembles” –via
I invite you to join me for some cappuccino, sit back, relax to French Jazz, and spend A Day in Paris!

What do you think of HB China’s take on Paris?
I am now so inspired to create a series of black & white pictures! It’ll be a challenge… And btw, when I grow up, I want to be confident, chic, stylish, and FABULOUS like those Parisian women!
Omg, this is amazing. My kind of editorial. I had just worked on some old posts from my time in Paris, and this spread came at the perfect time!!

Hard to believe that during the time I lived in Paris, I never once went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. More on that story later. Lots to share…

I think it’s exquisite! Gasp! I adore high fashion though I always have dirt under my nails as you may be aware . . . however, it inspires all other style, right down to Wal-Mart, kids’ wear and politics, in the end, and ultimately contributes creativity and beauty to a world that always needs more of it.
This shoot is brilliant on so many levels. Kellie, your eyes are always open for the best!
