Smell The Flour

Hello! Hope everyone’s enjoying your weekend. Yesterday, after a disappointing lunch (for me), we headed over to Flour Bakery & Cafe in Fort Point Channel for a tea break. It was relaxing and yummy. Totally made up for my not-so-satisfying lunch.

Here are some quick rushed snapshots taken by my phone. Pictures are blurry and not ideal but you get the feel.

zoeyZ’s warm and cozy… ready to weather the nippy air.

counterUpon entering, you are greeted by an entire wall length counter adorned w/ festive lights and full of freshly baked goodies. Not to mention the chalkboard wall menu (above) is so cute and filled w/ their extensive list of soup, sandwich, bakery, tea, and coffee options.

flourAlthough the scene was quite bustling, the atmosphere was filled with warmth. People enjoying quick bites w/ their children, friends, and families- it was special. Also- I soo love their industrial high ceiling wood beams.

cupcakesSo many delightful goodies.

tea2When I saw white peony tea on the menu, it was a no-brainer what I was going to order. Haven’t had (or heard of) this flavor tea before and I absolutely LOVE peonies (fresh ones…that is). Added honey and it was perfect.

cookie2I LOVE LOVE meringues!! This was so yummy! There were bits of chocolate chunks inside.

viewWe had such a lovely time sitting by this window. Zoey took a nap so we had some quiet time with me flipping through the newspaper and my hubs catching up on work emails. All this + tea + meringue = recipe for a perfect Saturday afternoon.

Enjoy your day!
