Peony & Tea Sugar Scrub

Obsessed is an understatement when it comes to making my own fabulous sugar scrubs. I like the fact that every month or so I get to come up with new, lovely sugar scrub concoctions. This month, it’s all about Peonies & Tea!

peony and tea sugar scrubYou can substitute the dried peonies and tea with any of your fav dried floral petals (roses, perhaps?) and tea-flavored bag. Talk about au naturale exfoliation!

peony and tea sugar scrub2If nothing else, I love sugar scrubs b/c they are so moisturizing and I can skip the slathering lotion part after showering. And the fragrance is so out of this world yummy!

peony and tea sugar scrub3I’m loving baby oil nowadays for sugar scrubs b/c of its accessibility and inexpensive price tag. Not to mention, who doesn’t want to smell like powdery silky soft babies?! Feel free to use other oils such as coconut, olive oil, almond, etc.

In case you’ve missed it, here are my other sugar scrub inventions: Cherry Blossoms SS and Coconut Tea Rose SS.

Have a great day!

  1. Mmmmm luxurious!! But all your photo works are yummy – be it that fabulous new house of yours (congrats) to the fashion to that gorgeous little girl of yours! Le Zoe Musings is one of fave distractions during the week. Thanks for putting a visual to some of my own dreams 🙂

  2. Love this! What a great way to use various flowers as they bloom =) I’ve been making my own facial scrub for a while because I needed something exfoliating but didn’t want to use harsh chemicals. I ground up oatmeal really fine, added honey, lemon juice and of course granulated sugar and I was amazed by how bright and smooth my face looked and felt afterward! I’d never thought of using tea before! I have tea flavors in my cupboard that smell nice but don’t please my palette so I’ll definitely use them in a body scrub.

Resourceful women are the mothers of invention 😉 Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love, love, love the scent of Teavana’s Jasmine Dragon Pearls (I swear it’s like drinking flowers!), so smearing it all over as a sugar scrub sounds perfect. Can’t wait to try this!
