I love weekend mornings. It’s the time of the day when I feel most energized. Despite wanting to immediately jump out of bed and start conquering my to-do list (why am I always on a marathon?!), I am reminding myself that I’m 8 mths pregnant and really need to slow down.
Lounging in bed isn’t so bad after all.
One thing has remain constant and that’s enjoying my morning cup of tea…
I’ve been really horrible at updating the bump. For the most part, when I get home from work, I’m utterly pooped. Weekends have been dedicated to ‘catching’ up and getting the house ready before the baby arrives. It’s a never-ending cycle.
I’ve concluded that I might need a weekend housekeeper. Just someone who can help me get organized and declutter all the chaotic mess that happens during the crazy work week. Wouldn’t it be nice to ALWAYS start Mondays off with a spic-and-span house? On my dream list.
Have a wonderful weekend!
aww cute bump pics….best wishes to you…the way you are trying to manage things…u are already like a super mom!! wow…

Definitely need to make the most of lazy mornings now as there will be precious few once the baby arrives! I refused to go back to work once my baby was old enough unless we had a cleaner. She comes on a Friday and I love that the house is ready for the weekend when I get home from work!

I’m glad you enjoy rooibos. I grew up on it. It’s such a great part of Afrikaans culture. Here’s a tip. Rooibos is full of antioxidants and contains zero caffeine. It’s the perfect way to hydrate an infant without feeding her/ him milk. And babies love it.

Weekends are so nice! Be sure to take it easy now before baby arrives because it’ll be a while before you can take it easy again after that.

I think it’s good to remind yourself to slow down. I think a lot of us feel this need to keep going at the speed of light and get stuff done, but it’s important to take it easy sometimes (especially with a baby on board!).
