It’s about 11pm and I’m dying to stay awake to write this post. Needless to say, it’s well over two hours past my bedtime. The hubs and kiddos are already in dreamland. Each day passes by in a blink of an eye and by the time I get to bed, I’m pooped. Morning and nightly rituals are both equally exhausting and marathon-like. I’m typing with my brain half-functioning and my eyes half asleep! The life of a working mom is sometimes relentless. I’m sure many of you can relate. And as much as it is easier to give up blogging altogether, I’m not surrendering. It’s what I love to do although it’s now limited to a narrow window of time during the weekends or like late nights as tonight.

Ok. Enough random musings. Let’s get to the fun stuff.

Pinterest convinced me that I needed a bar cart in my life. Why? Who knows. It’s just one of those things that Pinterest suggested. Enough so that I created a board for it and dedicated a blog post with some of my favorite bar cart ideas (here). After perusing through the many brilliant usage of bar carts, I don’t know why I haven’t gotten one earlier. But as life works out (it always does), I was able to make over a bar cart recently and now have it for our guest bedroom.

My youngest sister, G,  stayed with me for a while and when she relocated, she left behind an Ikea bar cart.  The only thing that I did to it was used a gold paint spray (my best friend) to spray the metal piece. After that, I did what I do best. Plop things beautifully into place. I guess you call that- decorating?

I found this little cute book a long time ago and bought it purely for the illustrations. Have I read it or found it useful for anything else aside from gawking at the pictures? Not really although sooo relevant for the bar cart! If you count this as hoarding, that’s just unfair.

I think the gold just brings this bar cart to the next level.

Yes, I realize that bar carts are meant for alcohol and the likes. However, my husband and I don’t drink (besides a glass of plum wine here & there) therefore mine is filled with other stuff instead. Does this mean I don’t like you if you drink? No, you’re cool. I’m just not.

On a separate note, I’ve received many inquiries about photography, image layout, and other random design questions. My LZM inbox has currently reached 11K messages! I do a complete wipe out once in a while, it’s about that time…

Anyhow, I take photos of all images (aside from the ones where I’m in them obviously) with a Canon 5D Mark ii. All image layout and typography are also done by yours truly. When you love what you do, it comes natural as I don’t have a graphic design/photography degree. I work heavily with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier.
