Ombre Chocolate-Covered Strawberries For Mom

Mother’s Day is coming up and if you’re stumped with what to get her; I suggest a bouquet of roses and some chocolate-covered strawberries. Let’s make that homemade ombre white chocolate-covered strawberries- Thank you very much!

Freakin’ cute and oh so delish…

This is really simple to make. Start out with melted white chocolate and dip the first strawberry. Add one drop of red food dye into the melted chocolate, stir, and dip the second strawberry. Keep adding more drops as you dip more strawberries. Put the dipped strawberries in the fridge and let set for an hour.

Melting chocolate (microwave method): I start with putting half a cup of chocolate chunks in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 40 secs. Take out and stir. Heat for another 20 secs. Take out & stir again. Repeat the process until the chocolate has fully melted. It took me about 4 cycles of heating. This may vary depending on your microwave. Be careful to not overheat the chocolate otherwise it will become lumpy and grainy. It this case, add oil or butter to fix the consistency.

On some strawberries, I sprinkled pink sugar on top of the chocolate before it sets. Just so it can look something sorta like fairy dust!
