Free To Be

Fellow mommy bloggers, I’m sure most of you can relate to this post. Both of my kids have extremely sensitive skin. We’ve been to countless Dr. visits because of rashes, bumps, hives, dryness, and everything that you can think of skin-sensitivity related.  Through trial and error, we began to eliminate and avoid anything that could cause or trigger the breakouts. Avoiding certain foods, wearing mostly pants and long sleeve shirts so that their skin is protected from the elements, and washing their clothes with a brand that has worked for us. It’s the All Free Clear recommended by dermatologists, allergists, and pediatricians.

I got this dress for Zoey a while back dreaming that one day in the summer, she and I will have a lemonade stand. Who can refuse a precious little girl selling lemonade AND wearing this adorable dress?!

Also, if you are wondering why the Peppa pigs are part of this, it’s because I often wash their stuffed animals with their clothes. They get dirty too! The kids are always hugging and kissing them so they too need to be safe.

Here’s a bit of info about the All Free Clear hypoallergenic detergent: “All free clear is the #1 recommended detergent brand by Dermatologists, Allergists, and Pediatricians for sensitive skin. It’s tough on stains yet gentle enough for the whole family. Plus, it’s safe for use in standard and HE machines. It rinses clean and has a gentle, hypoallergenic formula. Powerful Clean. Gentle on Skin.”

Allow your kids “Free To Be..” whatever their hearts desire without the worry of sensitive skin. By the way, I just so happen to spot that CVS has the detergent on sale this week (I believe it ends Sunday) for $2.99 (regular price $7.49). A must try for all mommies with sensitive skin babies.

  1. I am lucky not to have this problem (knock on wood) with my kiddos, but I still overpay for the Dreft baby detergent because it smells so darn good! I tell my husband it’s necessary for babies, so please don’t tell him otherwise! 🙂

  2. Adorable dress! And good to know that I should be taking a child’s skin into consideration. Right now, I just buy anything seersucker related as gifts for my friend’s children 🙂

  3. Such a cute dress.! At my house peppa pig is a big hit as well as the All Free Clear detergent . Two out of my four have very sensitive skin and this is the only detergent that works for them. I’m still looking for a good sunblock, any recommendations? I’m trying out the honest company this week, hopefully it’s works!

  5. My baby girl has very sensitive skin too! We’ve had to try 5-6 different brands of diapers & wipes because they all irritate her skin. Any helpful tips as far as diapers & wipes go?
