Cherry Rose Tea Popsicles

I am totally taking advantage of these hot summer days and making all sorts of popsicles to cool off. Unfortunately for us up here in the northeast; cooler days will start to approach as soon as next month. I’m relishing and soaking up all the summer festivities as much as I can!

My sisters are coming up and we are taking them to beaches where you can  pick live clams during low tides and hitting up restaurants where they cook lobsters and the likes just minutes after catching them. It’s going to be fabulous!

Although this post is far from lobsters and clams, it’s still very summer relevant. As a tea lover, making some sort of tea flavored popsicle was inevitable. When Compassion Tea sent me their Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose tea, I knew I had to turn this tea into gorgeous yummy popsicles.

Because this was a cherry rose tea, it was a no-brainer that I was going to incorporate fresh cherries and edible rose petals. After steeping the tea based on the recommended time (I also added sugar to make it sweet), allow tea to cool down completely. Next, add the sweetened tea, cherries, and rose petals into the popsicle molds. Let it freeze overnight.

Note: if you want the rose petals throughout the entire popsicle, prepare in layers. Otherwise, all of the petals will float to the top. I did this in two layers. Add sweetened tea, cherries, and rose petals to first half of the popsicle molds, let freeze slightly (about 40 mins)  then add the final layer.

There are actually many flowers that are edible. Please click HERE to see an edible flower chart. Also make sure that the flowers you are using are free of pesticides.

Hi there! Your pictures are gorgeous and the Popsicles are making me salivate!

I’m from Singapore and the weather is hot as mad! Would be good if you can share where you bought the metal Popsicle container or if there’s any brands we can look at.

Love to hear from you soon! Can’t wait to try it out myself!

I’d like to try peach, kiwi, strawberry, blueberry and/or raspberry in fruit punch or white-grape juice
