For those of you who are still in the holiday spirit (me!!), here’s a simple diy idea to spruce up your home. These Holiday Ice Candles are perfect additions to your New Year tablescape. They say that lighting sets the mood and I couldn’t agree more- especially with these ice beauties!
Sooo romantic and cozy right?
Steps: 1. insert a small metal food can inside a larger plastic container 2. add weights into the metal can 3. put holiday elements between the two containers 4. pour water, fill up to rim 5. freeze overnight
I used a mixture of lemon slices, cranberries, and white poinsettia petals and leaves.
To remove the ice candles, pour warm water inside the metal can, let the water sit for about two to three mins and the can will slip right off. To remove the plastic container, run warm water outside of it. Use tea lights to light candles.
And there you have it! Gorgeous ice candles for the festive season.
Hope you’ve enjoyed this little decor tutorial. Have a great Monday!
Beautiful idea! Happy holidays to you and your loved ones. Best, Hiba
