Just a little update on the two people who run my life. The littlest lady of the house is almost turning FIVE and will start kindergarten this coming Fall. Pinch me now. Our prince of the gaslight district is two years old.

Luckily for us, they are two peas in the pod. They get along very well and always look after one another. Lately, they’ve been dancing partners.

Usually, Axel will tell Zoey “Hold my hand.” when he wants to dance and then she leads the way. No music needed.

Pretending to be a ballerina…

Zoey has this sense of humor that cracks me up at times when I’m supposed to be upset at her. She knows when she’s in trouble and before I can react, she would say with a straight face but exaggerated voice “Sorry, my precious dear. You’re patient and kind and generous. I love you mother dear!” And then I’d just bust out laughing and forget that she’s in trouble. Axel loves having his own space. He’ll scream “Too tiggghtttt!” if he’s suffocated with kisses and hugs. They make life so busy but it’s all worth it.
