Lately, instead of drinking something hot in the morning- I’m opting for iced tea. I usually make a whole pitcher, add tons of sugar, store it in the fridge and have it ready to go. Cold sweet iced tea readily available is like heaven on hot summer days. I have many different types of teas so I like to play around with mixing flavors.
When the weather is like in the 80’s by 9a.m., it doesn’t feel right to drink a hot cappuccino. The same logic can be applied to yogurt (somewhat). Why enjoy regular yogurt when you can have yogurt popsicles for breakfast?! Someone please explain…
I’ve been making so much popsicles for the kids, Zoey calls me the ‘Popsicle Queen.’ There is absolutely no shortage of (homemade) popsicles in my house! My latest invention are these Strawberry + Peach Chia Seed Yogurt popsicles. They are probably the healthiest ones you could have.
If you haven’t heard of chia seed yogurt, you need to check out The Greek Gods. They come in a variety of flavors and all of them are delicious. According to Authority Nutrition, chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. Low calorie and loaded with antioxidants, you know you are doing something good for your body!
Making these popsicles is a breeze. There are only two ingredients for each flavor. For the Peach popsicles- add fresh peach slices and peach chia seed yogurt into popsicle molds. For the Strawberry popsicles- add fresh strawberry chunks and strawberry chia seed yogurt into popsicle molds. Put popsicle molds into the freezer and allow to sit overnight. Dummy proof, no?!
Hope you’ll give this one a try!
