A few weeks ago, I shared the first part of the kids bedroom makeover. I highlighted their bed area. Today, I’m revealing the kids’ lounging space. It’s a section in their bedroom where they can lounge, relax, read and play.
Providing a great backdrop is this gorgeous, whimsical birch tree forest wallpaper courtesy of Graham & Brown.
Zoey and Axel love to play in their tent. We hide all of their stuffed animals in there and Zoey will sometimes put her ‘friends’ in a circle while she sits in the middle and read to them.
Loving all these garland ruffles…
We strung a heart, moon, and star string light on the top of the tent. At night, when the lights are lit against the forest wallpaper- it feels like the kids are camping outdoors.
You would think that I would minimize the use of white in a kid’s room. Well, I did! If not, it would totally be all white! Zoey knows that white is mommy’s favorite color. She knows me well and accept me as who I am. Unlike the hubs, who doesn’t appreciate my love for white- everything!
Here’s a glimpse of the space while in the makeover process:
Hope you’ve enjoyed this home reno post! More on the kids’ room soon. We are still working on their fireplace mantel, reading nook and bed cabin. Slowly but surely…
Have a great day!
What a gorgeous room! Very elegant!
