Hello friends! I hope the New Year has been treating you well so far. My life has been unbelievably busy but I am not complaining! I’ve been so blessed to finally found what seems to be the job of my dreams. Ever since joining J. Jill as Art Director, I look forward to going into the office everyday and just soaking in the bliss of having the opportunity to do what I love. My team is amazing and they are collectively one of the most talented groups of people I know.
As a career driven woman, finding the balance between life and work continues to be a challenge. We drop the kids off daily at 7:30am and I don’t see them again until 6:45pm. Luckily, I have a husband who supports all of my ambitions in life. He has been extremely helpful and amazing at daddy duties during the week. Zoey gets off much earlier than Axel so she goes to daddy’s office everyday after school. She even attends some of his meetings. Sometimes, she would sit in on daddy’s lectures at Harvard Medical School. I guess, she’s getting a head start! Maybe, she’ll follow his footsteps…
I find that being so busy with work makes me cherish moments with the littles a lot more. Ironically, it makes me a better mom because I feel more well-rounded as a person. How do I handle it all? I have my days but I’ll give credit to lattes, lots of lattes!
Oh, and of course…chocolates! On a semi-related note, I just got the Nespresso VertuoLine Coffee maker and it’s an absolute dream! It makes the BEST froth. Ever.
Unfortunately, because of my schedule— I can’t blog as often as I’d like. This blog has been my creative outlet for the past five years and it has kept me sane at times when mommy duties drove me quite insane. I don’t plan on giving it up and hope to continue to produce contents that are relatable, visually compelling, creative and most importantly— inspiring!
