Holiday Lunch at My Home

Happy Friday friends!

I recently hosted a little holiday lunch for some lovely ladies. I would love to entertain more at my home but it’s always under renovation so I feel it’s never the right time. I try not to stress over the whole ordeal so I choose dishes that are really easy to prep. Nothing’s worst (or more stressful) than having to slave in the kitchen and worrying about your food turning cold when your guests arrive.

Another lesson I’ve learned from the past— you don’t have to serve a lot of different dishes. Less is more when it comes to entertaining.

One of the guests brought these holiday berries for each of us ladies.

The table setting was fairly simple. Just a plain white tablecloth which had lots of wrinkles on it! I thought it added an organic feel so I didn’t mind. There were only two dishes- a salad (pear, glazed pecans, & blue cheese) and a charcuterie plate which consisted of meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies.

As for drinks, options were mint/lemon water, sparkling water and a combo grapefruit juice and apple cider.

We had such a great time bonding over three hours of chit-chatting. Many things to celebrate and be grateful for among us ladies…

P.S- The wreath on the fireplace mantel was a diy. I made it from extra clippings from our Christmas tree cutting adventure with the kids.

Have a great weekend and happiest holidays!
