Crab & Avocado Cracker Hor d’oeuvres

For the past two days, I’ve been overdosing on these bite size crab & avocado crackers. After a long weekend of stuffing myself with all kinds of food from our family festivities, my plan was to start on a detox this week. That plan didn’t pan out when my sister in law forgot a tub of crab spread at my place.

That crab spread has become my morning, afternoon, and late night snacks.

This super easy, yummy hor d’oeuvre is so simple and quick to make. Not to mention it looks almost too pretty and neat to eat.

I think I devoured 7 of these for my mid-day snack today.

I love spicy food, so a dash of cayenne was oh so PERFECT.

Can’t just eat one, or two, or three…

It literally took me a few seconds to whip up these bite size treats. How easy would it be to make them for a finger food party? I use keibler club crackers but you can use any of your favorites. Also, you can def. substitute the crab spread for something more common such as a salmon spread.

Eat your heart out!

‘Til next post, Kellie.

  1. These look scrumptious and easy! I’ve been looking for really quick snack options and this is a perfect option. I will say that I haven’t had much luck with finding a good crab spread, the ones I’ve tried are usually substitute crab and taste awful!

Was the spread your sister left made from real crab?

    Thanks for the great tip!

  2. Well since people have been mentioning your nail polish (which is awesome btw) I’ve got a question too. Is it Seche Vite you’re using as a top coat?

    1. Hi! Sorry for the delayed response! I don’t use seche vite which I’ve done so in the past. Even though it’s super shiny, I find that the bottle dries out too fast so the top coat gets impossibly thick to apply. What I use is a very inexpensive brand, NYC In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry for 99 cents at CVS! l LOVE that it dries in a heartbeat, literally, and is super shiny!
