My Lady Desk

Creating a little space where it’s all your own doesn’t have to be expensive. In fact, my table was a thrifted find. Very well loved (aka beat up!) but we saw so much character, charm, and potential. We got it for less than $10. It was originally a cream yellowish color. My hubs added a few primer coats to it and has plans to later wax it to give it an antique feel. Although the wax hasn’t been applied yet, I was just too eagered to use it as my ‘Lady Desk’ so I gathered all my feminine belongings and made it look like a million bucks.

What do you think?

This gold rose/acrylic tray was another great find from HomeGoods. This one probably costed me $7.

The bigger mannequin was also a thrifted gem. I got this eons ago from a Seattle trip. Don’t believe me but I think I scored it for less than a buck. Yep, seriously.

These gorgeous hydrangeas didn’t cost me a dime. They’re from our garden. The oriental vase was another thrifted item for $4.

Unfortunately, I can’t say that my accessories were bargains. You just gotta know where to spend your money. Shop wisely.

We love going to flea markets, thrift stores, and antique shops for unique treasures. Both my husband and I have been doing this since we were young so we plan to make many of these trips with the kiddos. Next time you clean out your space, don’t throw your things away. Donate instead because “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
