We recently celebrated Zoey’s 5th birthday! We didn’t have anything major planned in advance. My sister was in town so she helped me set up a very intimate birthday brunch. We didn’t slave in the kitchen, that was something that I wanted to avoid. I think a birthday brunch was perfect. I was up very early and prepared everything before the kids woke up. When Zoey came down, she was surprised and very appreciative of how beautiful her little party turned out.

On the menu: sandwiches, fruit plates, macarons, cheese plates and little nibbles and bites.
Drinks: Orange juice, strawberry lemonade and flavored San Pellegrino sparkling water.
