There is something about a cup of morning coffee that makes my life (and soul) more delightful. This city mom looks forward to mornings after dropping the kids off. At this time, I relish me-time with my coffee – there are no disturbances. Iced or hot, it depends on my current mood but no matter what, I am ready to face the world afterwards!

I take the train into the heart of the city- Downtown Crossing, which is just a five minute ride from my house and grab my McCafé Hot Caramel Macchiato before officially starting my day. Because nothing comes before coffee, I don’t check emails or make any work-related calls. This season, there is so much beauty in the city. My morning coffee indulgence feels more special because of the holidays. Magical lights, snow falling, carols on the streets- it’s nice to walk around and soak in all the beauty of what holidays in the city has to offer. Sometimes, you need that time for yourself whether it’s at the gym, meditation sessions or even window shopping! For me, it’s mornings after kid drop-offs. My life is hectic but my mornings with my coffees are not.
