A Sprinkle of Red

The greatest pleasure about Spring is planning out our garden. Let me be clear, we live in the city with limited green space so when I say ‘garden’, I mean pots on the front doorsteps and a few bigger ones in our tiny backyard.

I love the vibrant colors that flowers add to a space and I can trust Monrovia plants to help deliver just that. This past weekend, I picked up a few perennial flowering pots from Lowes. These gorgeous Harmony Anemones in scarlet red are sitting pretty both indoors and out.

I bought a handful of these pots for outside but saved one for the home office as seen below. April is generally a safe time to start planting since the cold has broken.

Since my office is mostly white with gold accents (shocker), I thought these scarlet Harmony Anemone would add a nice dose of color. Btw, I’m just showing a little corner of my office, I’ll share more of the space soon! I’m planning to switch out some things since it used to be Axel’s nursery.

Not only do these flowers add a nice dose of color to the room but they’ll boost your mood as well. How can you look at these and not be happy?! Other indoor flowering plants that I recommend are orchids, geranium and jasmine.

What are you favorite flowers to plant this time of the year? To find Monrovia plants near you, see HERE.

Have a great day and happy planting!
